Persepsi Mahasiswa tentang Penggunaan Artificial Intelligence dalam Proses Perkuliahan pada Program Studi Pendidikan Luar Sekolah Universitas Pattimura
Abstract
The use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in higher education learning has generated diverse responses regarding its effectiveness, learning needs, and students’ academic experiences. This study aims to analyze students’ perceptions of the use of AI in the learning process within the Nonformal Education Study Program at Pattimura University. The research employed a descriptive quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through a closed-ended questionnaire based on a Likert scale, distributed to 28 active students from the 2024 cohort using a total sampling technique. Data analysis was conducted descriptively using percentages based on perception indicators covering both internal and external factors. The findings indicate that students generally hold positive perceptions toward the use of AI, particularly in helping them understand learning materials, improving learning focus, meeting academic needs, and facilitating access to information during lectures. These findings confirm that AI is perceived as a relevant supporting tool in higher education learning contexts, although its implementation still requires proportional and responsible management.
