Abstract

Mathematical critical thinking ability is an essential competency in mathematics education influenced by both learning processes and affective factors, including curiosity. A preliminary study at MAN 2 Kudus showed that tenth-grade students' mathematical critical thinking ability had not developed optimally and that their curiosity levels varied. This study evaluated the quality of Guided Inquiry learning assisted by Student Worksheets and described students' mathematical critical thinking ability based on curiosity levels. A mixed-methods approach with a sequential explanatory design was used. Quantitative data collection was conducted using cluster random sampling., while qualitative participants were selected through purposive sampling. The study found that Guided Inquiry learning assisted by Student Worksheets met the criteria for quality learning in terms of validity, practicality, and effectiveness. Students with high curiosity fulfilled all critical thinking indicators, those with moderate curiosity fulfilled the interpretation and analysis indicators, whereas students with low curiosity fulfilled only the analysis indicator.
