Implementasi Strategi Pembelajaran Ekspositori dalam Pembelajaran Aqidah pada Siswa Kelas IX Putra di SMPS IT Addawah RKS
Abstract
This study aims to describe the implementation of the Expository Learning Strategy (ELS) in Aqidah learning among ninth-grade male students at SMPS IT Addawah RKS, students’ responses, and the supporting and inhibiting factors affecting the internalization of Aqidah values. This qualitative descriptive study involved 12 students and one Aqidah/Islamic Religious Education teacher. Data were collected through classroom observation and interviews with the teacher and several students. The findings show that the teacher implemented ELS through lectures and discussions supported by an Aqidah textbook, whiteboard, and marker. Students were active in asking questions, participating in discussions, and reading Arabic texts without vowel marks. However, the application of Aqidah values outside school remained challenging due to environmental influences and some students’ preference for greater freedom. The study indicates that ELS is useful for systematic conceptual understanding but needs contextual learning, habituation, role modelling, reflection, and family support to strengthen value internalization.
