Analisis Analisis Sektor Ekonomi Unggulan Aceh Bagian Barat: Studi Kasus Enam Kabupaten Provinsi Aceh
Abstract
This study aims to identify key sectors, analyses the growth and competitiveness of economic sectors, and determine differences in economic structure among regencies in the Western Aceh region. The study employs both qualitative methods, using Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at constant prices by economic sector for the 2018-2024 period, obtained from the Aceh Provincial Central Statistics Agency and the district-level Central Statistics Agencies in the West Aceh region. The analysis was conducted using the Location Quotient method to identify the base sectors and the Shift Share method to analyse the growth and competitiveness of economic sectors. The result indicate that the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector are the primary base sectors in most districts. Additionally, the mining and quarrying sector, as well as the manufacturing sector, demonstrate comparative advantages in certain districts based on their regional characteristics. The Shift Share analysis reveals that Aceh Barat and Nagan Raya districts. This study concludes that the identification of leading sectors is determined not only by comparative advantage but also by economic sectors growth and competitiveness, thereby serving as a foundation for formulating more effective and sustainable regional economic.
