Sinergi Ekosistem Pendidikan: Analisis Model Kurikulum MA Al-Islam Surakarta dan Pondok Pesantren Jamsaren
Abstract
This study examines the educational synergy between MA Al-Islam Surakarta and Pondok Pesantren Jamsaren, which share a single complex. Using a descriptive qualitative design with a phenomenological approach, data were collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews with nine informants, and document analysis conducted from September 1–12, 2026. The findings reveal complementary integration among the Ministry of Religious Affairs’ Love-Based Curriculum (Kurikulum Berbasis Cinta), the Ministry of Primary and Secondary Education’s Deep Learning approach, and the pesantren’s Salafiyah tradition. Spatial proximity facilitates student mobility and daily learning activities, while institutional coordination helps align academic schedules with religious activities. The integration also supports the incorporation of compassionate teaching practices, meaningful learning, and religious values into students’ educational experiences. However, differences in institutional structures, students’ dual learning schedules, and teachers’ varying familiarity with Deep Learning remain challenges. These findings describe the perceived contributions of an integrated educational ecosystem but do not establish its effectiveness or measurable learning outcomes. The study offers practical insights for Islamic educational institutions seeking to coordinate formal schooling and traditional pesantren education.
